About Us
Ruthie Summers - Founder and Managing Director
Ruth graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Education. She then went on to work as an actress both in the UK and Italy, especially in theatres around the country.
Whilst acting, Ruth realised that she also wanted to give young people the opportunity of working within drama and the performing arts, and to inspire them in the same way that she had been inspired.
Ruthie’s work has included:
- Working as an actress within theatre, TV and film, in the UK, America and Italy
- Setting up and coordinating drama in schools
- Preparing and entering candidates for LAMDA examinations
- QCA specific work in schools
- Advising on ways schools can include drama within the National Curriculum
- Integrating music and drama within other cross-curricular subjects
All Dramatica’s actors and teachers are fully CRB checked and have a passion for inspiring young people within drama and the performing arts.
